My Story

My journey into a healthy lifestyle started early, growing up on the California coast surrounded by various versions of “health food.” We indulged in the abundance of Southern California, feasting on avocados, citrus fruits, berries, and greens. Exercise was woven into our daily routine, living near the beach meant playing in the surf and biking everywhere.

However, adulthood brought health issues—stress, anxiety, and a declining diet. After giving birth to my son, I found myself fragile and lacking vitality. The turning point came when my son was four, and I faced a health crisis: MS, mercury poisoning, and a prognosis of wheelchair-bound life.

When I received my initial MS diagnosis, fear and exhaustion overwhelmed me, and it felt like a slow death sentence. In the depths of despair, I battled depression, but the presence of my young son became my driving force to seek healing for my body.

Later, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease and Lupus, and I was categorized as having Autoimmune Syndrome. As a single mother, the need for health to sustain a job and care for my son fueled my determination to heal through diet, lifestyle and alternative modalities of health care.

Over 30 years later, my life is vibrant, filled with travel adventures, cherished friends, and a loving family. While occasional fatigue persists, clinical evidence of any autoimmune disease is minimal, rendering me “normal” in my doctor’s eyes. My existence is no longer dictated by a constant sense of unwellness.

My interest in holistic wellness and health inspired me to pursue studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, earning certifications as an Integrative Health and Nutrition Coach. I also trained at the Amen Clinic, obtaining certifications as a Brain Health Professional and a Licensed Brain Health Trainer.

The enlightening journey led me to a fundamental realization: optimizing our health and well-being was never meant to be as daunting as it often appears.

Now, I’m eager to share the knowledge I’ve accumulated over the years, merging my passion for organic food and cooking with an enhanced understanding of nutritional concepts and brain health science.

I look forward to connecting and sharing with you.
